From funeral coaches to appropriate colors to wear, memorial art and keepsake mementos -- American mourning changed drastically over the course of the 19th century. Some practices are still recognized today, and some have become strikingly unfamiliar, even peculiar. Explore how grief was displayed in a rapidly changing century with special presenter Tammara Hodge.
Brews, wine, snacks, and non-alcoholic refreshments will be available for purchase. Enjoy a late summer-shaded courtyard. Come early and enjoy yard games and reserve your spot!
